This notice explains how RDrive Auto-école uses the personal data of the students and instructors who use this website, in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Who is responsible
The data controller is RDrive Auto-école. For any question about your data, write to contact@rdrive.org or call 07 56 95 68 87.
What data we collect
- Your account: first and last name, email address, phone number, password (stored only as an irreversible hash), and language.
- Your driving licence file: your NEPH number, if you enter it.
- Your lessons and weekly availability: dates, times and places of lessons, cancellations and absences, the times you are available, your hour balance, and the hours you have paid.
- Technical data: the IP address and browser of your login sessions, used to keep you logged in and to protect your account.
Why we use it
- To manage your account, your lessons, and your driving hours, to schedule lessons when you are available, and to email you about your lessons: this is needed to provide the lessons you sign up for (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
- To register you for the driving test with your NEPH number (Article 6(1)(b)).
- To secure the website, for example by limiting repeated login attempts: the school's legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)).
Your data is never sold or used for advertising.
Who can see it
- The school's instructors.
- OVH SAS, which hosts the website and its database in France.
- Resend, which sends the website's emails from its European region (Ireland). Resend is a US company: any transfer outside the European Union is covered by standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Your account and your lessons: while you take lessons, then 3 years after your last lesson, after which they are deleted. You can ask for them to be deleted sooner.
- Login sessions: they expire after 7 days without use.
Cookies
The website only uses the cookies it needs to work: one keeps you logged in, the other remembers your language. There are no analytics or advertising cookies, so no consent is asked.
Your rights
You can access your data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its use, and receive it in a portable format. Write to contact@rdrive.org; we answer within one month. You can also correct your details yourself on your account page.
If you think your rights are not respected, you can file a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr), the French data protection authority.
